Country barley groats have been present in Polish cuisine for centuries and is valued for a wealth of health-promoting ingredients. It contains vitamins and minerals support the circulatory system, have a good effect on the skin and support weight loss. Groats go well with dishes with meat or mushroom sauce, casseroles, salads and barley soup.
BIO rural barley cereal was made from cereals from certified organic farming. It is free from GMOs and pesticides. It is an excellent base for many dishes.
Rinse the groats with plenty of water. Then pour it into boiling salted water and cook for about 10 minutes on low heat, stirring periodically. When the porridge is soft, leave it covered for 5 minutes. The proportion of groats to water should be 1: 3.
A 400 g container contains 8 portions of 50 g.
Stuffed pepper
200 g of rural barley Soligrano Bio
4 red peppers
1 large zucchini
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 can of chopped tomatoes (400 g)
1 bunch of parsley
1 large spoon of oil
salt, pepper, basil, chili
and sugar to taste
Cook porridge according to the recipe on the packaging. Cut the top of the peppers, hollow, clean and burn with boiling water. In a frying pan with oil, fry the diced onion and garlic. Then add the diced zucchini and fry, stirring occasionally for about 5 min. Add canned tomatoes, parsley, mix and simmer for about 4 minutes. In the meantime, season with salt, pepper, basil, chili and a pinch of sugar. Finally, add cooked barley and mix thoroughly. Fill peppers with stuffing, put in a preheated oven and bake uncovered for about 25 minutes at 180 degrees C.
