Mung beans are also called golden beans because they are one of the most valuable legumes in the world. You will recognize it by its green or yellow color and small, oval seeds. It is an excellent source of protein and fiber, which has a beneficial effect on bowel function and helps maintain a healthy body weight. Mung beans have been used in Asian cuisine for centuries, now more and more often they can be found on Polish plates.
Soak mung beans in cold water (for about 12 h) or hot water (for 2 to 3 h). After the required time, rinse the beans, then pour them into boiling water. Cook until soft, about 40 minutes, add salt at the end of cooking. Enjoy!
